The A+ courses are designed to lead to CompTIA A+ certfication - an industry-recognized certification for PC maintenance and repair. You'll learn about the parts of the computer, how to diagnose and repair problems and you'll actually build a computer.

Cisco Exploration I and II

IT120/122
The Cisco courses are the first two of four courses that lead to Cisco Certified Network Associate certification, recognized as one of the premier industry certifications. You'll learn about the parts of a network, how data travels and how to program routers so that data gets where it is supposted to go and doesn't go where it isn't supposed to.

The above courses are dual credit with Bowling Green Technical College and count toward an Associates' degree in Information Technology.

Geographical Information Systems

GIS 160/260
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is the study of mapmaking using layers of information from a variety of sources. We will construct maps using many input sources including a GPS, downloaded databases and constructed databases.

Database Systems

IT 170/270
These courses introduce the student to topics in relational database systems including database design, implementation and administration. You will complete realistic database projects such as data warehousing, web-enabled database access, and data import/export conversion tasks. The projects will have documented backup and security plans, as well as data dictionaries.
