SUPER JOB!! Our Plano Elementary PTO is the best! What a great
Spring Fling we had. Thanks to everyone who planned and volunteered
for the event last Friday evening. It is always so much fun when our
families come together for social time. WAY to GO Pottery
purchasers. The auction was a BLAST! Great weather, great event,
and great families—what more could we ask for!
It is a Party! Come on out on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 to celebrate Ms. Diana Hankla. Ms. Hankla is
retiring and we want to send her off with all of the Panther love we have. She has been teaching for over
35 years and her influence on children is immeasurable. The party will be from 3:30-6:30 in our school
Library. We hope to see you there!!
IT IS OVER! Testing for the 2010-2011 school year is complete. All booklets have
been sent in to the state to be scored and results will return next Fall. Our students
always do really well so we’re excited to see our results. We have worked hard this
year to blow the roof off of the state test. If our scores improve the children will be
sending me to the roof in the Fall. Thanks to all of our students for staying diligent
in our testing. We know you worked hard and we appreciate your efforts.
Message from Mr. Smith: It’s Field Day time again!!! Next Thursday June 2nd the students at
Plano Elementary will have the opportunity to enjoy many fun games and activities. This is always a
wonderful day for the students to enjoy their last days of the school year together as a class. In order
for this day to be as enjoyable as possible a lot of planning and organizing has to take place. The
primary classes will be conducting their field day activities in the morning from 8:30 to 10:45, and
the intermediate group will join us from 12:30 to 2:45. Many parents have asked how they can help
on that day. We already have enough volunteers to cover the games, however there are a few items
that would really be beneficial to receive. If you would like to help the following items are still
needed for the games:
BALLOONS!!!!!!! (WATER AND AIR)
• We need as many balloons as we can get. We need balloons filled with water and balloons filled with air. It is difficult for me to fill up the amount of water balloons needed for every students.
BRAGS & PATS on the BACK— This week’s “Pat on the Back” is from me to the students
and families of Plano Elementary School. No one could ask for any better parents and
kiddos around. It is so awesome to be able to come to a school where the children are full
of love and excitement. Our Panthers understand that school and education are important.
They know our staff loves them and want the best for and from them. Our Plano Panthers
will be successful in life because they are fabulous people who are supported by fabulous
