Students who have 6 or more unexcused absences and/or tardies may be considered habitually truant.  Students must turn in a note stating a reason for an absence/tardy within 2 days of returning to school.  If a valid note is not received within this time, the absence will be recorded as unexcused no matter the reason for the absence.  This rule applies even if the parent/guardian noted a reason in the sign-in/sign-out log at the time of the check in or out at school. 

TARDINESS:

Students coming to school late must check in through the office. If a student is late, then a parent must walk the student inside and sign them in. If you have had an appointment please bring a note from that office. A student is considered tardy if he/she is not in the gym when the Morning Meeting begins at 8:15. Students are also counted tardy when they leave the building during the day or leave school before 3:15.
