William H. Natcher Elementary

Wm. H. Natcher Elementary School serves preschoolers through sixth graders and is the Warren County School District center for children with hearing impairment. Natcher is known for having students who excel academically, outstanding parent participation and a caring, highly qualified and dedicated faculty, staff and administration. A variety of special programs support English language learners, gifted students and all others who require special assistance. Staff development informs instructional practices and shapes continuous school improvement efforts.  The SBDM council and Parent-Teacher Organization share leadership in policy-making and school support.  Faculty and students from Western Kentucky University work and study here.  Reading instruction is framed by Building Blocks, Four Blocks and Big Blocks. A Coordinated School Health grant stresses good nutrition and physical fitness.  Frequent assessments monitor student progress with standards-based and informal instruments.  Technology is integrated and applied by all students and faculty. The media center, with its open schedule, houses 18,000 constantly circulated items, over 35,000, last year. Nationally known authors and illustrators visit annually. Instruction in stringed instruments compliments the music program. Jump Rope teams travel and compete nationally.  We provide a clean, orderly learning environment characterized by mutual respect, warmth and high standards.
