•       Family Enrichment Center – our school will be collecting money this week for Buckets of Hope, the yearly fundraiser for this important local organization.  Your child brought home a blue note on Friday to remind families to send their spare change or a check made out to the Family Enrichment Center.  The classroom that collects the most money will receive a Wendy's lunch.  The Family Enrichment Center thanks you for your support!

Congratulations to: Addison Carter, Carly Bell, Jessica Rampenthal and Jenna Rampenthal who have all earned a part in the Capital Art’s Jungle Book presentation.

Safety Reminders:

2.      We are asking for photo identification to match the emergency card when you pick up a child early or if you visit the school for any reason, including lunchtime. We have a new receptionist at our front desk and it will take her awhile to become familiar with everyone. However, if any staff member is unsure, they will continue to ask. This is for the safety of all of our students and staff.

We appreciate your cooperation with both these matters!

“Night in Italy” Spaghetti Supper: – January 29th.  Mark your calendars to attend!  PTO will sponsor a delicious spaghetti meal in the Italian Cafe (cafeteria) and the teachers will be sponsoring games and silent auction baskets in the gym. Proceeds from the games and silent auction will go into classroom activity accounts.  The food sales go back into the PTO budget to help pay for additional school-wide activities. Mrs. Marcum will also host a book fair in the library beginning that night and the following week with all proceeds going to author visits and new books for the library.

Box Tops (General Mills products) Update: Individual winner who earned a gift card to Toys R Us was Hannah McComb in Mrs. Rudolph’s room.  The top class this past month who earned the traveling trophy full of treats was Ms. Chavira’s room. Snowball Fun winners were the following classes: Chavira, Scott, Hatler and Hartis-Miller. A special thank you to Sonja Byrd (mom of Hattie in Mrs. Decker’s room and Thorin in Ms. Hurt’s room) and Natalie Boddeker (step-mom of Cassie in Ms. Chavira’s room and Christian in Mrs. Hatler’s room) for being co-organizers of this special fundraising project.  So far, we have earned enough to purchase one additional laptop for our mobile cart.
