Special Dates to Mark on Your Calendars!


·       Nov. 1 ~ Pizza Hut Night to support Natcher’s Family Resource Center 4:00-closing at the Scottsville Road restaurant

 

·       Nov. 2nd ~ NO SCHOOL ~ Vote as a Family!

 

·       Nov. 5th ~ Veteran’s Day Celebration at the Morning Meeting~ Wear Red, White, and Blue!

 

·       Nov. 8th ~ PTO Meeting 6:00 p.m. Childcare available.

 

·       Nov. 9th ~ NCLB /CATS Informational Parent Night at 6:00 p.m. Learn how you can help your child succeed on these required state and federal tests.  Individual student test score reports from this past year will be available that evening for students who took the test at Natcher last year.  Grades 3-6 math teachers will also be available to share strategies to help your child with math.   

 

·       Nov. 12th ~ Leaders of the Month Celebration at Morning Meeting

 

·       Nov. 12th ~ Second Quarter Mid Term Progress Reports (Gr. 4-6)

 

·       Nov. 18th ~ Thanksgiving Meal at Natcher – visitors welcome but we ask that you please turn in the reservation form on the back of this Natcher Notes so we can plan ahead and have enough food!

 

·       Nov. 18th ~ International Night 6:00 p.m.  All are encouraged to attend this wonderful night when we will celebrate our wonderful diversity. Twenty-eight different countries make up our Natcher family!

 

·       Nov. 20th ~ Natcher Craft Fair

 

·       Nov. 23rd ~ Hat Day in Honor of Alex Creager! Wear your favorite hat to show support for Alex.  Our Student Council is sponsoring this event.

 

·       Nov. 24 – 26th ~ NO School. Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. QSP Orders – anyone needing anything corrected, please contact the PTO by Nov. 1st.

  2. QSP Fundraiser Rewards ~

- Duck Build a Sundae Party Day – Wed, Oct. 27th – students who sold 10 items and  

  Opt Out students.

- Disco Duck DJ Party – Nov. 1st – students who sold 5 items and Opt Out students.

·       Orange Leukemia Awareness Bracelets ~ these will be sold for $1 every Friday morning before our AM Meeting. The money raised will be given to support the Love Chloe Foundation who provides support at schools for cancer patients.  Wear your bracelet in honor of Alex in Mrs. Rudolph’s room who is recovering at home at this time. 

 

Paws-itively Drug Free Kid Week: Making Healthy Choices! ~ This Red Ribbon week we are celebrating being strong and healthy. Students and staff are encouraged to show their spirit in the following ways:

Tues. – Shade Out Drugs – Wear your favorite sunglasses!

Wed. – Red Ribbon Awareness – Wear something red!

Thurs. – Drugs Give Me the Blues – Wear your favorite jeans or denim!

Fri. – School Spirit Day – Wear your Natcher t-shirt or blue/orange!

 

Cram the Cruiser ~ Coats for Kids:  You may drop off gently used or new coats to help provide a warm winter for others.  The cruiser is in the mall parking lot by Chuck E Cheese.

 

Warren Co. Archery Team ~ Informational meeting (4th-6th gr.) will be held on Monday, Oct. 25th at 6:30 p.m. at Cumberland Trace gym.

 

Author Visit, Floyd Cooper, Tuesday ~  Our students will enjoy a special visit during the day and again that night at our Family Reading Night at 6:00 p.m. It will be a great evening of fun!

Art Education Task Force Auditions ~ Nov. 2nd at the Alive Center, 5 – 9 p,m, Auditions for ages 8 and up for The Miracle Worker.  Call 782-9090 for more information.

 

Veteran’s Day Celebration, Nov. 5th ~ In honor of all our past and current armed forces, our 3rd and 4th grade students will be performing patriotic songs and Warren Central’s Color Guard will be presenting the flag for our pledge at the morning meeting.  We would like to recognize any family members who are veterans or currently working in the Armed Forces on that day.  Please contact Susan Tabor if you can be a part of the program. Also, we would love to honor these same family members with a photograph on our Natcher Family Military Bulletin Board. 

 

Pennies for Patients ~ our Leadership Team is sponsoring this penny drive to support Leukemia research.  A family letter and change box was sent home last week. This is an optional activity.

 

NCLB / CATS Scores ~ Natcher Elementary met all 10 of our required targets for the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements. We are very proud of our students and their hard work to be proficient students. 

 

NCLB /CATS Informational Parent Night ~ Nov. 9th, 6:00 p.m.  An invitation to this important meeting is attached to this copy of Natcher News.   Please mark your calendars and plan to come and learn how you can help your child succeed on these required state and federal tests.  Individual student test score reports from this past year will be available that evening.  Grades 3-6 math teachers will also be available to share strategies to help your child with math.

Congratulations to the following classes who had the highest average daily attendance for September. They will celebrate with popsicles this week:

  1. Ms. Marcum, Ms. Cline, Ms. Jaggers, Mrs. Decker, Mrs. Green, Mr. Watt, and Ms. May’s homerooms! 

  2. The following students earned a McDonald’s gift certificate from our monthly drawing for having perfect attendance the month of Sept: Conner Robertson, Nate Robb, Jordan Martin, Zeyta Caudel, Nozomi Fujinari, Carson Wilgruber, Hailey Peters, Philana McHenry, Jennifer Johnson, Kevin Maupin, and Abigail Holt.

School Picture Proofs ~ were sent home last week.  Proofs with orders are due this Thursday, Oct. 21st. If turned in later, Graham Photography will charge $10 to fill an order.

Electronic Newsletters ~  We had hoped to start sending our newsletters and other important information through email but have found a small problem with the distribution list. Until this is corrected, we will continue to send paper copies to all families.  We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.
