Grandparent  Support
Whether you have grandchildren who visit on weekends, you keep them every afternoon after school, they live in your home with their parents, or you have sole custody of them, grandparents play a very important role in the lives of their grandchildren!!

Connect For Kids is an internet forum through WKU Childcare Resource and Referral.  It is an excellent way to connect with others to chat, get and give support, create online friendships, and just have fun.  The Grandparent Gathering may be of special interest to you but there are lots of interesting topics being discussed.  It's free to anyone interested!   The office can also assist you with finding child care providers.     http://www.wku.edu/ccrr-wku/   When the page comes up, click on the word "forum" at the top of the page.  When the new page opens, click on the word "forum"  in the top left box, then choose the forum you wish to visit by topic.  You will see an area that asks you to join or log in, but you can browse the site as a guest if you are just looking for information. 
H2U (Health Happiness You)  Formerly called Senior Friends, H2U is a national program that offers free health screenings, excercise classes, social activities, newsletters, and other services to clients age 50 and over. Locally, it is affiliated with Greenview Hospital and is located across the street from the hospital.  The membership fee is $15 per year and includes a local newsletter, the national H2U Magazine, and many of the services listed above.  For more information, contact Kris Lowe, RN, at 270-783-9592.

Senior Health Network
The purpose of The Medical Center Senior Health Network is to show that life past 55 can be filled with wonderful and exciting experiences.  For a one-time fee of just $10, you will receive
annual health screenings of blood pressure, blood sugar level, cholesterol, and triglycerides;  discounts are on various other wellness services and screenings;  free weekly exercise programs; monthly travel and social activities; and a free newsletter mailed to members.
