Warren County energy teams recognized in Frankfort

 
 

The student-led energy team from Richardsville Elementary received the 2011 Rookie Junior School of the Year award and several other energy teams from the Warren County school district were recognized May 18 in Frankfort during the Youth Summit and Awards Luncheon sponsored by Kentucky Green & Healthy Schools and the Kentucky National Energy Education Development Project.


Richardsville student Carter Ford represented his school and is pictured receiving his school’s award from Paul Blick of Kentucky NEED. Also pictured are the energy teams from Drakes Creek Middle School and Greenwood High School, both of which presented at the event.


Other Warren County energy teams recognized for Kentucky NEED Project participation: Briarwood Elementary, Bristow Elementary, Cumberland Trace Elementary, Lost River Elementary, Natcher Elementary, Oakland Elementary, Rich Pond Elementary, Rockfield Elementary, Warren Elementary, Henry F. Moss Middle, South Warren Middle, Warren East Middle, and Warren East High.
