The Warren County Public Schools Transportation Department is now operating four electric/hybrid school buses. The school district received federal stimulus funds to help purchase the buses, which will run off electric power up to 20 miles per hour, with the diesel engine kicking in at higher speeds. The buses will provide greater fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.
